Five therapies, one pair of hands.
The bodywork menu is short on purpose. Meridian tui na massage is the workhorse — real pressure, along the channels Traditional Chinese Medicine maps, for muscle that has been guarding since your last deadline. Ask for deep tissue and that is the session you get, at the same rate. Lymphatic drainage sits at the opposite end: the lightest work we do, for fluid rather than muscle. Cupping and gua sha with hot stone are add-ons that ride along with either.
Which one you need is usually obvious once you describe the problem, and if it isn't, say so on the phone. We would rather move you to the right service — or tell you that acupuncture is the better answer this week — than take a booking that won't help. Conditions-first readers can start from the index of what we support instead.
Finding us on Chain Bridge Rd
We're on Chain Bridge Rd where McLean's medical corridor meets Route 123 — a few minutes from Tysons Galleria, with free parking at the door and hours that run 9 AM to 9 PM, seven days a week. Evening and weekend slots are genuinely available, not theoretical.
Service
Meridian & Tui Na Massage
Looking for a massage in McLean that does more than feel nice? Tui na is bodywork with a clinical spine — meridian-based, firm where it needs to be, and built around what your body actually presents that day.
from $100
Service
Deep Tissue Massage
Real pressure, applied by licensed practitioners who know where to put it. Our deep tissue work is delivered inside a 60 minute meridian massage — firm enough to change something, adjusted so you never have to grit your teeth through it.
from $100
Service
Lymphatic Drainage Massage
The lightest work we do, and the one people are most surprised by. Lymphatic drainage massage uses slow, feather-light strokes to encourage fluid movement — no deep pressure, no knuckles, nothing that leaves you sore.
from $100
Service
Cupping Therapy
Glass cups, gentle suction, and a surprising amount of relief for tight backs and desk-worn shoulders. Cupping at Harmony is done by licensed acupuncturists on Chain Bridge Rd — as an add-on or within your acupuncture session.
from $20
Service
Gua Sha & Hot Stone
One scrapes, one warms — a jade-tool technique from Traditional Chinese Medicine and the warmed-basalt massage classic, both in daily use at our Chain Bridge Rd clinic. Here is what each actually does, what the marks mean, and how to add them to a session.
from $20
The other half
Acupuncture
Sterile, single-use needles placed by licensed practitioners — for pain, stress, sleep, digestion and women's health. Often billed through insurance.
from $100

Massage is a comfort and wellness service, not medical treatment. It does not replace care from your physician, and there are situations — active infection, a known or suspected blood clot, fever, recent surgery without your surgeon's clearance — where we will ask you to see a doctor before booking.

Your first massage therapy visit.
Nothing about a first massage therapy session here is designed to catch you out. Arrive about 10 minutes early, tell us what hurts and what you want left alone, and the rest is straightforward.
- A short intake. What is bothering you, how long it has been going on, any injuries, surgeries, medications or pregnancy. It takes a few minutes and it changes what we do.
- Draping, always. You undress to your comfort level and stay under a sheet the whole time. Only the area being worked is uncovered.
- Pressure set by you. Firm is not the same as painful. Say lighter and it goes lighter — there is no version of this where gritting your teeth produces a better result.
- A quiet finish. Water, a minute to sit up, and an honest suggestion about whether coming back is worth it.
What to tell us before we start
- Recent surgery, injury or a procedure you are recovering from — bring your surgeon's clearance if there is one
- Pregnancy, or how recently you gave birth
- Blood thinners, or a history of blood clots
- Skin conditions, allergies to oils, or areas you would rather not have touched
- Whether you are also having acupuncture that week, so we can sequence sensibly
Massage therapy is a comfort and wellness service. It is not a treatment for disease, and there are days when the right answer is a physician rather than a table — fever, an active infection, a suspected blood clot, or new, one-sided swelling all mean call your doctor first. We will say so on the phone rather than take the booking. First-timers can read the full walkthrough on our new patients page.
